What's New for 2009?

During our national Tick Prevention Week, BADA-UK launched our new children's book, Jack, Scruffy and the ticks, which is designed to help young children understand what ticks are and what happens if they get bitten. This gentle book is a great way to introduce children to the subject of ticks. Purchase your copy of Jack, Scruffy and the ticks.

BADA-UK is back on the road, exhibiting at various Events throughout the UK and Ireland. Visit our events page to find out if we'll be at an event near you.

One Tick Away is our new DVD documentary about tick-borne disease in the UK. Sufferers of Lyme disease also talk candidly about how the infection has affected them. By popular demand, we are now able to ship the DVD to the Republic of Ireland. Purchase your copy of One Tick Away.

Buy O'Tom Tick Twister: Getting out and about? Make sure you are prepared!

Whether you're going away on holiday or planning a family day out, make sure that you've got a tick remover with you and some repellent. Deterring ticks from biting you, your family, and your pets, is the best defence against tick-borne disease. But, if you are unfortunate enough to get bitten, removing a tick correctly can help prevent disease transmission. Purchase your tick remover and repellent.

We NEED volunteers - can you help?

BADA-UK is run purely by unpaid volunteers and we desperately need more help. Whether you can spare the odd few hours once in a while, or you want to help on a regular basis, we want to hear from you. Whether you have special skills or you just like chatting to people, we want to hear from you. Find out more about volunteering for BADA-UK.
